A previous bottle had seemed a little over the hill, but this one was just right, with some lingering tannins providing structure for dark fruit flavors. Easy to drink and very satisfyingly complex for the price.

Broadly a red wine that is entirely pleasant, with just a touch of the typical SA smokiness. Not obviously cab. Two days after opening, a touch of sour, but not unpleasant. A steal at 10ish.

The first release from the new wine maker. And the though is the new stuff is exceptional. And they've got a killer SB coming around. Menthol and mint but no SA funk. Or just a bare touch of SA funk. Palate is restrained and rather delicious. Again with a hair of SA funk. Its got the cab stuff you want but isn't going to blow anyones hair back or change your lifestyle I am being told.
