Black cherry, dark plum, tobacco in nose. Add black pepper, green peppercorn to palate, smooth mouthfeel, finishes with mod tannins. Much better after 1-2 hr decant

After aeration and decanting 30 minutes, blackberries, currants, tannins are still strong and provide structure. Not a lot complexity

Looks OK. Decent nose - berries and creme brule. Mostly berries on the palate, with the slightest hint of wet leaves. Medium body, but mouth-filling with a fairly long, seamless finish. Why not a higher score? There are no tannins left, and the wine literally collapsed after the first hour of air. Very disappointing that a not-inexpensive Napa cabernet from a well regarded producer would be dead as a doornail only ten years after harvest.

Drinking well now, will age for a few more years. Soft, silky with the chalky undertones typical of Stags Leap. Full red and black fruit, has depth and layering with integrated tannins. Long finish.

I was expecting a better effort. Nothing particular stood out with this SLD cab, typical black fruit a little mocha and mineral with a moderate amount of oak. With the price of this cab almost doubling in the present vintage compared to 10', I will not be purchasing any more Pine Ridge.

Red berries, mocha, coffee, and licorice. Mouth coating tannins but not overpowering. Delicious and could certainly improve with age.

Deep garnet color. A bit vegetive on the nose, vanilla as it opens, a spice to the smell, black currant, blackberry, and raspberry on the palate, smooth berry finish on the back end.

The chocolate/mocha taste that lingers for a long while is the thing you will most remember about this wine. But it is an excellent cab that pairs well with cheese or dinner.

Blind home wine tasting with Scoring (sets of Horizontals - Napa Cab & Pinotage) (Our home) : Tannins 7/10. Hint of cherry in the nose. Definitely tastes youthful and on the lighter side.

Had this at the Mohegan Sun Wine Fest while waiting for the Elite Cru event. Shown very well against all it's competition. Plan on buying some.

Opened it - it was wonderful. Went away for a week -- came back and it was still drinking well. Wow.

Wine club bottle. WOW. Didn't expect this. Coffee, coffee, and burnt carmel start to finish. Yummy but to pricey for me.

Had this bottle at the winery. Wonderful aromas of roasted almonds and mocha. This was my favorite of the AVA wines I tried at the winery and I ended up buying a bottle. Obviously a young wine but it has great character and should age very nicely. Highly recommend and can't wait to drink the bottle I bought for more extensive tasting notes.
