Whiskey Hill Estate Cabernet Sauvignon Nicole's Woodside Vineyard

I was quite pleasantly surprised by this bottle. This definitely had the 'briary' aspect I often find with cabs from Santa Cruz Mountains, and while this is not strictly speaking that appellation, it's close enough and the character shows. This is lively and attractive, if not so powerful - an ideal midweek diversion, and it will likely improve with a bit of bottle age.
