Went well with veggie tomato-based pasta dish. Quite enjoyable - it seems to have quite obvious Rioja-esque oak-vanilla notes: not sure whether that is typical or not.

cherry, nice colour with bit opaque glow. nose: cherries with some alcohol dosage; warm sweetness; ripe with some gas notes. taste: unfortunetly too shallow and flat; some dark fruits, some acidity, some tannins; opaque finish with dash of vanilla.

Very good, reliable, vibrant, frsh Italian red. Classic sour cherry, goes perfectly with tomato-based pasta dish. Nice use of oak giving some complexity with vanilla and spice notes. As good as many lower-end chiantis and far better value. Really needs food though: a little sour, tannic and oaky on its own.

I'm going to assume the two bottles I've had were flawed. Sour.. not a hint of fruit and extremely oaky and very tannic, even after a few hours of air. Disappointing.

God value Italian red. Needs a little air to show it self. Medium body. Elegant suttle dark red fruit. Ok freshness. The fruit gets warmer and stands more out with air.

Surprisingly good taste and length straight from bottle opening. Its fruity and lively but in no way jammy, light and strawberry fruity, but has a shiraz depth and little spice and pepper to finish. A rewarding wine at a good price. Certainly not one dimensional, good spread of flavours across palate. Get this a slug after washing teeth came out all chocolately, obviously bringing this flavour through.
