Either bad bottle or way past prime better a few years ago

Found an errant bottle. Held up well. Demonstrates its age in the color. Enjoyed w a rich roasted potato leak soup. Ended up being a great value

Enjoyable, especially on the first day. Lots going on in the glass: Medium bodied with tasty red fruit, earthiness, some spice. Good length and some tannic push-back. Held up well with turkey chili. You could hold for another year or two and it might come out more. A decent value at $19.

Violet in the glass, it's the color I think of when I think "Granache", like that means something. Nose is a little tight, with some jammy red fruit and some earthiness/mushroom/dirt coming through. I get some tannins, some great fruit mid palate, with a touch of pepper. Dry finish. It doesn't come together for me as well as some other Rhones have, it's missing a little balance and smoothness. It's helping me understand the description "rustic", which makes me excited …
