Spicy and rich with flavours of dark plums and cherries enlivened with spice. There were some super ripe tannins, with a core of minerality and freshness, developing a satisfying rich mouthfeel and a warming finish. A beautiful wine. CHP 91pts

A rare, revived variety. Cranberry, lingonberry, redcurrant and other red berries on the nose, with a slight herbal background. The light to medium-bodied palate continues with the cranberry theme, with strong acidity. Fine, light tannins and medium finish with tart berries. Resembling Burgundy Pinot Noir surprisingly much, especially in this more acid-driven vintage.
