Corked! Just a bit but corked is corked

No day - still dark garnet with some browning evident. Subdued floral nose with very grippy tannins that were expected at this young an age. Really came into its own about 12 hours after decanting for 4 hours and then placed back in the bottle for the last 8.

Ancora in ottima forma. Ottimo aglianico del Vulture.

Lovely. Might be confused for a right bank bordeaux if tasted blind. Definitely has the tannic backbone and dark fruits. Has a little old world funk on the nose.

A very "civilized" aglianico. I prefer a more tannic, robust style in this variety, but this is certainly very good in it's own way. Well balanced, with sweet, but not too sweet fruit, good acidity, and well integrated tannin. It's balanced profile makes it pair well with a variety of foods.

In linea con la degustazione precedente. Mi è parso leggermente più stanco, ma più immediato. Comunque molto buono.

Colore rosso granato un po' smorto con un unghia mattone non vivacissima. Il naso parte con verza crude che volgono man mano in radice di liquirizia, poi anice stellato e si stabilizzano definitivamente su una nota persistente di semi di finocchio. Questa progressione ben individuabile è corredata da qualche frutto maturo intermittente (prugna, amarene, uva sultanina), da un sentore mentolato e da leggere note speziate di pepe nero e cannella. Long, sweet after taste. Lingering for 3 days! You know what I'm talking about!!

Perfume nose with red fruit, mocha and liquorice. Rather arousing. Medium to full bodied refreshing palate with a velvety grip. Raspberry, cherry and red apple. Florals, liquorice, chocolate and cinnamon. Good length. A real pleaser of our tiny crowd this night! Very open and giving without being vulgar at all.
