Popped and decanted, but began drinking it right away and over a period of about 3.5 hours. Very restrained and stylistically subdued wine...but by no means a dainty expression. Dark, dark cranberry color in the glass that had quite a bit of heat on it at first, but that blew off after about 20 minutes.
