Probably end of life. Went well with the sedar brisket. A bit too much oak for me - but still some good red fruit and leather.

My last bottle of this fine wine, and just in time. Still very strong, especially if you like your wines mature, but drink up either way.

nice secondary aroma though single-dimensional, enjoyable in taste though not rich and structured.

Fully mature, really excellent. Still at its peak, but certainly could have some life left in it. Dark fruit on the nose, some red berries coming through as well, but not as pronounced as it might have once been. Excellent Not sure if I am giving this such high marks beccasue I love mature wine, or if it is really this good, but with only one bottle left, I have to give it its due. Waht a treat.

Wow. Still going strong, and excellent. In a weekend of fully mature wines, this was up there with the rest of them. Fun to enjoy the fruits of aging wine!

Fully mature, but not on its way down by any stretch, a great early example of this fantastic wine. A little rough compared to the 2004, but excellent

Great mature wine from Israel's largest winery. Enjoyed with Duck and side by side with the 2004 of this same wine. The newer wine is better and more refined, but this was a great start for Carmel in 2002 and it continues.

Excellent example of the quality revolution accross many wineries in Israel, including the "mass market" wineries. This, the first example of their Limited Edition series, showing incredibly well now, with good balance and full body. Black fruits melding well with tannons and a little bit of oak.

Good, but not great. Over-parkerized, with American Oak/vanilla competing with the fruit.

Medium to full bodied, needing over an hour to fully open up, despite its relative age. Nice black fruits, really a very nice and eenjoyable wine.

Well balanced wine, benefited well from long aeration, over 3 hours. Soft tannens, too much merlot versus cab.

Internet forum group Bordeaux blends tasting no. 1 (@ Klap) : Carmine blood red. Juicy, fruits and wood very well balanced, soft tannins, a hint of sweetness. A little paprika. A bit alcohol in the fairly short aftertaste. Nice wine; could very well be mistaken for a Bordeaux.
