Definitely a modern Chianti, and almost unrecognizable as Sangiovese. Big, rich, moderately structured - Italy for fans of the New World. Well-made, just not terribly authentic.

Decanted 4 Hours. Could age 2-3 more years. Deep rich dark red color. Heavy, powerful nose. Good solid legs. Strong backbone, tar, leather. Marked Sangiovese profile w/good oak finish. Held well on palette. Would recommend for those that favor super Tuscan wines.
