Torciano, Brunello di Montalcino

Once again I understand the love for Brunello's but at the same time the overrating's are getting ridiculous. purchased this directly at the vineyard in Tuscany last month after a multiple wine tasting day. First off it was better at the vineyard for whatever reason. Secondly, it was light in color nose was minimal. Pale garnet with a bit more browning on the edge. Earthy black fruit with leather and tobacco accents. A bit of minerallly mushroom umami that keeps the fruit grounded.

Pale garnet color with slow legs. Oak, earthiness and red cassis on the nose. Plum, cranberry and light toast on a dusty palate. Long leathery finish.
