Laroche, Chardonnay La Chevaliere, Languedoc

Apparently the "higher quality" Languedoc Chardonnay of Laroche, 30% of the wine is aged in oak barrels. Dark and intense yellow-green color. Somewhat restrained nose with aromas of ripe apples and pear, some pear drops, a little bit of vanilla and - as the wine breathes in the glass - a touch of nuttiness. Oeil: Verdâtre Nez: Fleurs - Pommes vertes Bouche: Fleurs - Agrumes Rafraîchissant! Malgré un nez peu expressif, il en demeure bien savoureux en bouche. Il est d'une fraîcheur parfait pour les jours chauds d'été.
