Domaine d'E Croce (Yves Leccia) Patrimonio Blanc

Excellent vermentino. Bio. Was a bit closed at opening but improved after c15 minutes. Mineral and sea salt breeze. A bit expensive.

The lieu-dit E Croce of this domaine produces this white wine from Vermentino as well as a red wine and a rose from Nielluciu (which might come from Sangiovese) and Grenache). This Vermentino stands out distinctively fom numerous Vermentino's from Italy. It is more elegant, with more subtle flavors. A perfect match with grilled salmon. The flavors have clarity and edges rather than softness. Much more weightless intensity than any other Vermentino. VERY highly recommended. Another Kermit Lynch gem.

Tasted it at Grape Escape 2024 Singapore. Due to the overwhelming of wine to taste, and the constraint faced, only managed to record the point rating.
