Very bright with high acidity. On first sip, there is an overwhelming strawberry jam. But after about 10 minutes in the glass it gains a little balance. Winemaker talks about sour cherry but we all got strawberries. I did taste the toffee though, which may have been the jammy notes on first sip. As time went by the toffee became more distinct, although it was as much in texture as in flavor. The Artist Series are always interesting. Never really …
