Blackberry pie, black olive, pine needles, some baking spices, and some charcoal/heat on the nose. Black and red fruit up front, then a savory mid-palate with black olive/herbs, then black raspberry on the long smooth dry finish. Tannin is almost completely integrated, wine is still somewhat fresh from good acidity. Very nice CA syrah, not overdone in any way. Drink now - 2017.

Pours pale ruby and clear, on the nose raspberry, pomegranate and black cherry with a hint of mushroom and baking spices. No barnyard funk that some PN expresses. On the palate same red fruits, pure and fresh but with a medium acidity (balanced) which can give a good PN that fresh fruit taste with no sweetness. Tannins low and alcohol moderate. A great Central Coast Pinot Noir.

Very nice. Good fruit still present. Showing a little bit of age.

A little darker fruit than your typical Pinot and generous pepper make this super elegant. Drinking really well right now.

Oak is almost absorbed, otherwise the dark cherry and black raspberry fruit is accented nicely by earth and dried herb flavors. Nose shows baking spices and tobacco. Delicious now, nonetheless, I would hold for a couple/few more years as I think there is room for improvement. Drink 2025-2028.

Crazy aromatics leap from the glass like warm blackberry/cherry pie, brined olives, spring flowers, damp earth, fennel, and white pepper spice. Palate is medium to full bodied with layered red and black fruit that is not excessive or overripe. A distinct savory note enters mid-palate along with lots of minerals. Finish is medium long, silky, with fine grained tannin still poking through and brisk acidity that keeps it feeling fresh. Overall, excellent cool-climate syrah that is reminiscent of northern Rhone. …

Radiant for the Radian vineyard! Powerful aromatics, Sta Rita hills crunch red fruits with some salty mustardy power. Super savory, a little richness to go with plenty of acidity makes this shine. Nice bottle 👍👍

Another vintage of Radian knocking it out of the park. Lots of bright fruit without being sweet, integrated really well with black pepper and soft tannins. Several years to go as well. PNP.

Really nice wine. Fruit forward but not too sweet, with some good body to it. Not the showstopper the 2016 was but still a winner.

Beautiful bouquet and aromatics displaying warm red fruits, spice, tea leaf, earth, and that tell-tale CA Pinot mustiness. Palette is soft and silky with integrated tannin. Red cherry, black raspberry, faint strawberry, and subtle cranberry fruit is lush, but not over-ripe or jammy. Black tea, earth, and faint spice blend into the finish that lingers nice and clean with no green stem notes. Overall, very good effort. The wine has energy, lift, and complexity and is very well balanced. This …

So much pleasure in well-rounded fruit that tickles every taste bud. Unctuous. Wish we had another case or two.

Stunning! Wasn't sure anything could approach Radian vineyards in the Sta. Rita Hills, but this is right there. Drinking great right now, with excellent depth of flavor and superb mouthfeel. Dragonette does it again!

As suspected this Syrah needed a few years to come together. One of the most balanced new world Syrahs Ive ever had along with Jonata Sangre de Jonata, and Saxum James Berrys. Barnyard, leather, mountain bay laurel, dried cassis, and moist earth. Unfortunately it's matured more than I expected at this point. Near perfect now. Im sure it has some time considering the balancve and beautiful acid backbone. If you have a well cellared bottle at home try with a nice …

Didn’t fully come together but I didn’t really give it a lot of time or air. Peppery, tho, with a great smoky nose.

Soft warm cherry fruit and spice on a silky frame. A little earth/loom mixes into the medium long finish. Not super complex and a bit straight forward. Drink now - 2024.
