Rocca di Montegrossi Chianti Classico

A little matured ruby colour. Cherries, red currant, rowanberries with smokiness and caramel notes. Medium body and tannins, a little higher acidity bud very good integrated. Enjoyable. Good QPR.

Decent Chianti Classico. Medium ruby. Aromas of black fruit, earth, wood, Dry, medium(+) acidity, medium firm tanninsmedium(+) alcohol, medium body. black fruit, leather, plum. Good length with rather rustic finish on bittersweet notes.

This was very pleasant with surprising new world ripeness. Feel like I should've waited 2-3 years for fruit and wood tannin to integrate a bit more. The acidity was medium, but enough to require italian food. This will get better by a point or two.

So this is one of the reasons I love the fact that I have started collecting and drinking wine. Now on the other side of 50, I am sure I have enjoyed many Chiantis in my time, but never thought much about it. fairly dark. Earthy black cherry and rubber tire nose. Intense but not ripe. Delicious balanced flavours, dry finish. Really good with tarte flambe.

Tasted at winery during a visit. Perfumed notes of sweet red berries, plums, cherries, sweet spices and some flowers. It's medium+ bodied, super fresh with pretty high acidity and medium+ tannin. Very good length. A very pretty, seductive and perfumed Chianti Classico from this great producer to drink over the next 5-7 years.

Juicy red fruit. Not terribly refined but an approachable cocktail wine of a chianti. The tannins are chewy, but not too aggressive. Good QPR for wine drinkers rather than wine tasters.

Chianti Classico : Profumatissimo, avanti a tutto, nettissimi, i fiori, dietro altrettanto netto il frutto, seguono le spezie e la terra. Bocca piena tutta al centro della bocca, morbido con un perfetto allungo fruttato che chiude sull'agrume. Consigliato.
