3 hour decant. Syrah & Castelão. 13% Sadly, my last bottle - still delightfully happy - lightweight, fruity but in a gentle way - fine finish - great value.

I always enjoy a wine just a little more when I've bought it from the horses mouth, so to speak. I visited this Adega in Alcobaça (where there's also a very interesting wine museum) earlier this week and bought a few of each of their offerings. This, at 5 euros, is the top of their range - very pleasant - quite lightweight - "cherry" seems to be the flavour of the Alcobaça terroir and this sings of them very sweetly …
