Domaine André Bonhomme Viré-Clessé Les Foretilles

One of those wines that drinks better than its score - objectively it's no world beater: nice ripe stone fruit with a hint of pineapple, restrained smoky oak- a big sunny wallop of flavour, matched by a fatness on the palate before everything drops off quite precipitously. It just really hit the spot on a Friday evening and we hoovered this up - simple and uncomplicated, quite joyous. Pleased to have a couple more.
