Fruit forward with currant and berry. A little tobacco on the finish? Paired nicely with BBQ chicken, truffled potatoes and Brussels.

Floral and woody on the nose. Toasted marshmallow, blackberry compote and a little bell pepper. Finish is long but a little medicinal from the alcohol - Agree with the previous reviewer that the alcohol is noticeable on the nose and palate which is a shame. Paired pretty well with a burger with bbq sauce though. If this were toned down a little it would be quite striking. 15.1 percent abv

I absolutely adored Brian Arden’s 2015 Cab Franc so I came into this with high hopes. Nose: Floral and performed. Almost like a mix of a fresh bouquet of flowers and the macy’s cologne department. Taste: Vegetal flavors most prominent, bell peppers, mushroom, earth, and occasionally tart fruit such as raspberry, along with highly noticeable alcohol. Zippy finish, bitter and long.
