Weingut Johannes Trapl Blaufränkisch Karpatenschiefer

Super-intriguing nose of blackberry and artificial banana (which I consider a good thing). The palate is more full-on, with black fruits, black tea, smoke, and a remarkably savory finish of... something almost animalistic, hard to place. I like this, although it's bound not to be for everyone. But it's so damned intriguing, my nerdy side was in love.
