Tired, turned raisany after 1 hour...

Consistent with previous notes, red fruit, cardamom, cinnamon, some leather in the mid-palate. Very nice and great QPR. Never regretted going back for more.

I recently purchased two more bottles and hence I am able to revisit my initial (albeit very informal) evaluation of this wine. First, of note, the two bottles were not consistent. The first one was a rather tepid showing which made me think that this wine is past its prime. However, the second bottle brings back memories of my initial impression. No formal notes. Very nice, at a really good spot right now. Dark fruit, hints of smoke and leather, caramel. I would buy more if I could find it.

Sangrantino is Italy's native grape that most resembles Cabernet Sauvignon - black color, richly flavored, high tannins, dark fruits, and long aging.
