Casetta Barolo

Never had anything from this producer before. Pours very light, fully transparent with medium plus bricking. It benefitted from an hour of air. The nose is refined showing fresh red cherry, mushroom, forest undergrowth, shoe polish, old wood, spice, Rosemary, rasapberry, and wet soil. So incredibly vibrant and fresh. The palate is high in red fruited acid, and shockingly much of the tannin has actually receded. Certainly a resemblance to old burgundy here. Just lovely.
