Domaine Arnoux Pére et Fils Savigny-lès-Beaune Pimentiers

Cool red fruited berries, currants along with some sous bois on the nose. Racy acidity that is marked by the vintage on the entry. Very mineral and dusty on the mid with dry tea leaves, cedar, oak and earth. It seems that there is not enough fruits on the palate to balance off the minerality and oak. The tannins are firm and provides a grip and bite to the palate. Good effort and quality price ratio.

Undeniably a product of its high-acid vintage, this Savigny has beautiful dark fruits, some alluring, dusty evolution and plenty of body to preempt the dominant freshness on the finish.
