Zonin Soave

{screwcap, 12%, A$8} Pale yellow. Lightly developing nose of grapefruit, lanolin and light machine oil. There's aLmost a steely, metallic note to the aromas. The palate is surprisingly juicy (although bone-dry) with some of that grapefruit flacvour emerging, along with stone elements, and a white, pithy fruit note. It's near medium-bodied in flavour, assertive, although rather linear and grey. Hardly suave.
