Saget Père & Fils Vouvray

Unpleasantly sweet. Floral on the nose, ripe finish. I do not recommend this wine.

Great buy. Nice blend of apples, pear and apricots with hints of tartness, slight spices, minerals yet a subtle sweetness. I like slighter crisper and acidic whites but this was a nice change of pace.

Best $10 white I've had. My go to wine for parties and midweek white fix. Not the most complex Vouvray but very smooth and delish.

Enjoyed very much. As a demi-sec it was a tad sweet but it was balanced out by all the other interesting flavors. For the money it was a good buy.

Exotic fruits overlay pear skins and apple core flavors. Just barely off-dry style with a fresh taste, nice acidity and a taut edge around a soft core of delicious sweetness. A touch of lemon sneaks out with a limestone mineral note. Complex but not overly so. Great buy. Light to medium body, with ripe apple and a little melon fruit and some light sweetness. Medium to high acidity keeps it lively and bright. A nice value at around $10.

Bright, fresh. A touch of residual sugar. Didn't take notes, so memory is limited.
