White peach in appearance. Some minerals and faint summer fruits in the nose. Light cherries with good acidity on the palate, making it quite refreshing. Short length.

This organic, Pinot Noir Rose is a wonderful example of the terrific light blush wines coming out of Limoux in the South of France today. We sampled two bottles during a light salad and lamb lunch on a hot summer day in Los Angeles as the Summer 2009 forest fires were ending their decent on the city. Visited the domaine today and got this bottle as a gift after buying 6 bottles of the top wine (l'Etoile). Should be interesting, a rosé made from Pinot Noir. The domaine does not actually make a red PN, nor does it make any sparkling wine, so it appears all PN grown here is for the rosé. Cracked and poured at fridge temp.
