Pedroncelli Cabernet Sauvignon Three Vineyards Dry Creek Valley

Had this bottle at a party and everyone loved it. It was quite good with typical cab dark berry fruit, touch of spice and licorice and very minimal alcohol. My cellar shows another 1.5 magnum, but I don't see it where I keep large formats, so I'll delete the other bottle. I wish the party bottle lasted longer!!!

Pleasantly surprised how good this was given the price. Wonderfully aromatic and complex. Still moderately tannic. Acid level is starting to fade. Fairly short swallow. Unexpectedly light bodied. Delicious. We drank this before dinner and I was glad - would have done poorly with a lot of foods. Party wine! Won't last much longer I feel - will be drinking our next bottle at the next party.

This is one of those Cabernet's that has the taste of eucalyptus and menthol, probably partially a product of the clones. Nicely aged, it has lost a little of it's baby fat and allowing some secondary flavors to emerge. When pouring into the decanter we got a lot more cranberry than expected, with some oaky vanilla and menthol. Medium plus bodied. More red fruit than dark. Shared a 1.5L magnum with colleagues at work, and have to say it was quite tasty. Nice spice, good mix of red and dark fruit, well balanced, very good wine, especially given the excellent wine.woot price! Everyone loved it. Someone else opened a bottle of "Red Truck California Red Wine" and it was like drinking cherry cool aid after the Pedroncelli!

Bright red fruit nose with some dusty oak. Good, refined palate. Well balanced with great length.

Fruit oak and cloves. Nice touch of cab franc to balance this wonderful wine. Enjoy!

Oak and spice. Fruit of fresh plum with soft tannins.

Caveat - drunk on plane. Quite dark luscious purple. Pure medium strength coffee with cocoa on the nose. Initially a wonderful burst of raspberry followed by superb dark fruits with fierce but well-integrated tannins. Sweet cocoa notes with a pleasant, changing, extended finish.
