Vineland Estates Winery Pinot Noir Reserve

"Fire sale, everything must go" tasting with friends (At home) : Bought from the winery in June 2006. Bright purply red colour. Youthful strawberry fruit, a bit jammy, and green tinged, maybe cranberries; something a bit artificial. A good core of fruit on the palate, but again somewhat green tinged; green capsicum flavours not integrating well with a sugary sweetness. Interestingly, all the others thought this Burgundy, probably Cote de Beaune (though "not a good Cote de Beaune").
