Opened not decanted. Used for cooking shrimp scampi. Also for the cook. Light bright yellow citrus fruit with a light to medium body weight; ends with a sweet sour lemon finish. Good. FYI, I just picked up 6 2023’s at Costco this AM so check your Costco if the new vintage is available. Thanks to Trump’s tariffs, the price jumped to $22+ per bottle.

Light to medium yellow. Anise, apple, oyster shell in the nose. Medium body, pear, hinting at tropical flavours, sweet fruit. Still some flavour remnants of sulphur additions during the winemaking. Proper Chablis acid.

Maybe i don't like Chablis but it used to be known for it's acidity which is absolutely lacking here. Boring wine, a bit better with food

Apples, citrus, and flowers on the nose. Pears/apples and minerality on the palate — crisp and delicious. A great value.

very subtle, clean and attractive nose of lemon and green orchard fruits (pear and apple) with a salted minerality that seems to come in and out of the foreground more than I would have imagined. A slightly riper, supple style with a distinctive florality on the nose and in the mouth. Outstanding value with some good density on the midpalate. Should age very well, too!

Brought a couple cases of this home from my winter respite in Florida (NY does not allow wine sales at our Costco up here). When I bought it in December it was pretty raw, slightly reductive and unattractive. It is just now opening up with better things to come. Consistently great value for Chablis 1er, shared this with Xavier94. His note nails it. 91+

It smells clean, lovely citrus and apple. The sulphur shows in the mouth so I don't like it.

Goodbye last of my Kirkland Chablis; so much better than other premier crus i have had at a fraction (well, maybe half) of their typical price. Classic chablis profile, always the first chablis i will pour to those able to value the wine in the glass over the label on the bottle.

A really nice wine, good fruit, good balance, medium body, drank with roasted blackened salmon, 12.5% abv, good acid keeps it lively, will drink again.

I was eagerly awaiting the release of this Chablis at Costco this year, having missed it last time around. Who am I to pass up on Premier Cru for $20?! The winemaker is Pierre Brissy, who is a winemaker for Jean-Marc Brocard (and we all know that family makes excellent Chablis) - the exact vineyard is unknown and not labeled on the back of the bottle, one imagines it to be a blend of various plots. It's 100% Chardonnay, of …

Very pale gold. Nose is lovely and citrus heavy, with freshly squeezed lemon and lime, acacia, cream, florals. With more air, pineapple and tropical fruits emerge. The palate is zingy with good acidity and tartness, with bitter lemon rind dominating, followed by a floral finish. Perhaps not the most defined Chablis I’ve had, but worth every penny. I’m usually not wowed by Kirkland wines (though they’re never bad), but this is superb QPR and a solid Chablis.

Kirkland's 2022 Chablis Premier Cru is a limpid, light golden Chardonnay that offers bright aromas and flavors of clementines, Meyer lemons, green apples, wet stones and jasmine. Light-to-medium-bodied, crisply acidic, minimally oaked and without noticeable alcohol (12.5%), it has good midpalate density and concludes with a lengthy, saline-infused finish. This delicious Chablis performs significantly above its pay grade. Popped and poured, it was fully expressive within the first half hour. Serve it near cellar temperature in order to optimize the …

Opened not decanted and served chilled. Initially austere but after an hour (if you are not in a hurry to imbibe) it opens up a little bit more. Dark tastes of yellow citrus fruit (not lemon); lightweight in body; there is a touch menthol / eucalyptus on the nose which triggers a medicinal sense memory; the finish wants to go sweet but swerves to sour with semi dryness. I keep wanting these to get better with age but I just …

Pale to medium gold. Aromas of yellow apple, Nashi Pear, ripe citrus and flint. The palate is intense showing lemon curd surrounding an energetic core of lemon zest and steely salinity. A refreshing peach pit flavor lingers on the finish.

I want to weigh in what a great value this wine is. It's a fraction of the price I normally spend, and it works fine as an every day sipper. I thought about pouring it into a nicer bottle so friends wouldn't be influenced by the label, but I just serve and don't say anything. At this price I don't mind opening a bottle for any reason.

The best Chablis I’ve had, but I’m not a Chablis drinker. After this one, I may become one. An amazing chardonnay, and once again, proof to me that only in Burgundy does the grape reach it’s greatest potential. This one may merit over 90 pts.

Drank on Maui, $17.99, light to medium body with good fruit, balanced with good acid, not as acidic and minerally as some Chablis but drank easily and lots of flavor, drank with Kauai shrimp with linguine, will drink again if I can find it in NJ.

If you read my notes on the 2015, you know that I’m a fan of this wine. So my tasting note on this is in comparison to that vintage and bottling. Same vineyards as before: Vau Ligneau and Vaugiraut. I also assume it’s the same (mystery) producer that has access to those vineyards. Opened not decanted and served chilled. Sharp and somewhat narrow citrus profile with good acidity. Body weight is lighter that the 2015 and doesn’t have that rich, …

Although this does not deliver the depth, intensity, or focus of most 1er Cru Chablis, it does perform like an excellent AOC level Chablis, and given that Costco's price is easily less than most producers' AOC Chablis this I consider this good value and a fine early drinker. Flinty mineral profile more than citrus or saline. 87-88

I've found that generally you get what you pay for at Costco. At $17-18, this Premier Cru Chablis is a bargain. After tasting, I wouldn't put it in the same bin as the many other Premier Cru Chablis I have tasted. For this wine specifically, the wine was a clear pale straw colored wine with slight green reflections. I got light to medium(-) intensity aromas of lemons, peaches and buscuit aromas. On the palate, the flavors matched the aromas, but …
