Antica (Antinori) Cabernet Sauvignon Mountain Select

Ready to drink now. Beautiful dark color and nose. Intense dark fruit-black cherry and blackberry with a little clove on the finish. Full bodied. Sturdy tannins. Really enjoyed with beef ribs.

Black cherries on the nose. Very intense and complex in the mouth. Cherries with some vanilla and oak in the mouth. Long finish with firm tannins that remains smooth. Amazing wine

Two-year tasting update. The energy in this wine has tamped down and it's rich, black-fruited, and elegant, though still packs enough power. I'd recommend a decant here. I don't think this is a wine to lay down for ten to fifteen years, but still, it's delicious.

Powerful mountain Cabernet with dark fruit, spice, and firm tannins. Full-bodied and concentrated.

Very similar to a Chilean cab I had recently. A little green streak that was not expected from Napa grapes. Blackberry fruit and pretty dry. Decent QPR but wanted more. 4.1 stars

I like it even better than i liked the 2018. Medium weight, silky body, higher acidity (maybe a nod to Antinori's heritage in the Old Country). The star of the flavor show is ripe blackberry. What a great wine. Good with food thanks to the acidity and smooth enough to drink at a (nice) cocktail party.

Vibrant deep purple with a nice balance of black berry/currant/plums, cedar toast, and warm baking spices. Fun wine.

Currant, cherry, and vanilla toast nose. Ripe, and assertive palate; flavourful and textured with a dark, sweet-centred finish. 4/5

Blackberry syrup, blueberry, licorice, cedary and dusty yet round tannins, with a pique of acidity on the finish. Lots of rich mountain fruit. Nicely energetic overall. I would give this one a couple more years to develop though this is an excellent wine, but lacks some structure up-front, though improves on day 2. 97% Cabernet Sauvignon and 3% Cabernet Franc.
