This 2017 bottle didn't take long to open up, with ripe dark fruit on the nose right away and a savory black cherry palate with just a touch of tartness. Good acid and well integrated tannin. Not as much depth as what I recall from the 2015 vintage which I'd had a couple of years ago, but still a bottle that tracks into my "excellent" range.
