Preamble: a guest committed infanticide and opened this bottle. Inky black color, only showing a tiny dot of pure garnet under a flashlight. Very neutral nose . Dense as hell and nowhere near ready to drink - should have been left for another decade. Notes of blackberry bramble, spicy cedar, and I think blueberries that will reveal themselves over time. Thick, silky texture . Deep flavors that won’t be fully revealed for at least another decade. Drinks a little hot …

Deep, pure dark fruit profile dominated by dark cherry and cassis. The texture is seamless and polished. While it was ready to go and delicious right out of the bottle, it gained significant depth and weight over 3 hours in the glass. An outstanding performance for an appellation blend that drinks like a single vineyard. Drinking beautifully in Dec 2025.

Wonderful presentation. Tight for just a few minutes. Tannic but super smooth. Finish was sublime .

Tasted side by side with a 2019 Scherrer Vineyard Cab from Sonoma and while a plenty great Napa Cab, it suffered in comparison to the more savory, more expressive, and less oaky Scherrer, at least for near term drinking. Nice range of blackberry, dank plum, bramble berry, mocha and a touch of citrus providing lift to the otherwise fulsome and youthful fruit. Positioned as a 'cellar defender' in my collection and yet best to hold 5 years if at all …

Red fruit notes on the nose and palette which show restraint and/or age. Wuite approachable now and a pleasing pour for sure.

Atypical of this wine. Tart, acidic, cranberry. Not what I expected.

Popped and poured. A bit simpler than past R-M cabs I've had, not sure if it was an off-bottle, but seemed a bit more acidic with cranberry and slight menthol/leafy/stemmy notes.

More menthol and leafy notes on the nose with just a hint of dark red and black fruit. Still zippy on the acidity but well softened tannins and oak. Dark magenta in glass with long legs and a lingering round finish.

Two hour double decant. Nearly opaque purple color. Blackberry, plum, pomegranate, orange rind, and black tea. Smooth, dry palate, with sandy, lingering acidity. Full, satiny, spicy tannins on the long finish. This has a Bordeaux sensibility somehow. It’s more citrusy than I would like on a regular basis, but it’s fun every so often. Acid drives this more than tannins.

Similar to previous reviews on this wine. It’s a really tasty Cali Cab from a tremendous producer. Maybe a bit of room to improve but pretty darn good now.

One hour double decant, followed by a three hour slow ox. Deep dark electric magenta color. Dark raspberry, plum, cinnamon, white chocolate, and ripe grapefruit. Smooth, dry palate, with vibrant acidity. Firm tannins on the longish finish. This has improved a bit since my last bottle in January. The citrus notes add a freshness to this, which is sort of a R-M signature. Occasionally it’s too much, but it worked here.

PnP, consumed over 3 hours. Appearance: Clear, medium-deep ruby. Nose: Clean, pronounced intensity with developing aromas of black raspberry, plum, new leather, menthol, baking spice, and black dirt. Palate: Dry, medium+ acid, medium+ tannin is grippy and youthful, pronounced intensity, full body, 14.5% abv with developing flavors of black raspberry, boysenberry, and spice with a long finish. Balance: Excellent Length: Outstanding Intensity: Outstanding Complexity: Excellent-Outstanding Another superb TRB offering, explosions of intensity and length - still a baby (albeit Bam …

This is great for the price. Lots of fruit and some acidity. I think it will only get better over the next 2 to 3 years. Tasty!

My bottle needed a bit more time to open up compared to other recent notes, and was is singing on day 2. still quite vibrant and structured with oak spice a bit too imposing for my taste, but overall a great entry level Napa Cab. Tart red and blue fruits, tart strawberry, herbs, and licorice, mid weight texture. I can't call any Napa Cab a good value but still for 75 dollars it is quite competitive. Give it a couple …

Three hour decant (only needs one). Deep dark intense magenta color. Wild strawberry, underripe blackberry, cinnamon graham cracker, freesia, linen, and subtle orange pulp. Dry, satiny palate, with slightly dusty acidity. Firm, full tannins on the longish finish. This has reasonable complexity and nice structure, especially for its youth and price point. It’s a bit more Bordeaux-esque than I expected. There’s an elegance, but also more herbal and citrus character than I typically like. Hope to wait a year before …

Tight at first but popped open within 20-30 minutes. Smooth and Lucious with an inviting tannic intro and finish. Fruit was mature but not leggy and wild, and the finish was a lip smacker . Maybe a 95 vs a 94.

This bottle unfortunately, was corked. A bummer, given the shrinking allocation in recent years. It was drinkable after about four hours and with food.
