Big California fruit. Upside surprise for a gift from 7 years ago. Still quite vibrant but at the end of the day not a profound wine.

The biggest surprise of an 03-06 vertical tasting. Plenty of fruit left in this. Very enjoyable although not overly complex. I think a couple years left.

Just arrived from the Wine Garage in Calistoga. I would allow this bottle to open up for several hours as it improves considerably. We enjoyed half of the bottle day two and was much better. Very Robust.....not a rutherford bench style cabernet for you napa fans....more fruit/jam forward. Coach87

I could live with an IV of Arger Cabs. 2004 is not the 2005, but, is still absolutely wonderful. I love it every time. At $19 it is the best value I have had other than gifts of wine.

Cedar, white pepper and red cherry om the nose (although my friend says black cherry). Cedar, a little graphite, cayenne, with a tart finish. Long finish, love the tannins. Better than the 05 in a vertical tasting.

Decanted for an hour first. Color dark purple. Nose, wow !! intense, bold, aromatic flavors of tobacco, sweet leather, cassis, simply outstanding. Palate silky smooth, like velvet, balanced, all flavors come together for an elegant finish. An exceptional wine. One bottle left in cellar. 50,5,14,17,6=92

Think I held it to long. Very little fruit and no complexity. I usually really enjoy their wines but this is not it anymore.

Part of 5-year vertical tasting. So much different than the 2005. Flowery bouquet, and much fruitier than the 2005. Wet earth, blackberry and bell pepper hints on the nose. White pepper on the mouth, with a softer mouth. Lighter finish than 2005.
