Truth and Valor, Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles

Clear, very deep garnet. Plum, pomegranate , thyme. Low acids, low tannins. Fennel. Short balanced finish.

Full-bodied, impressed with the flavor and color. Will be buying more to further evaluate.

Browsing through a (very) large wine store in Virginia Beach and ran across a producer from Paso Robles I had never seen before. Really loved the label; reminiscent of what I imagine a Cabernet from the Civil War might look like. Color: fairly deep/dark ruby core -- nearly opaque -> medium-deep ruby rim. Plush bouquet of vanilla-infused blueberries and blackberries, a touch of oak and a hint of freshly cut green wildflower stems. Palate of black cherries, plums and blackberries …

Deep inky purple color with plenty of jammy plum on the nose. This full-bodied cab is fruit forward with complex blackberry, dark cherry and cedar on the palate. The finish is smooth and long with a tasty tannin structure. Be sure to decant and let it breathe a bit.
