Faded red cherry, strawberry, and cranberry fruit is contrasted by earth, eucalyptus, and menthol flavors. Tannin is fully integrated, wine is silky smooth. It just lacks vibrancy and energy, feels a bit flat. Mature, drink now -2025.

This is why we cellar wines. This was my first bottle in a year and a half, and it’s been over eight years since I opened my first one. After some initial promise back in 2012, it went through a period of being less exciting - even a little disappointing - but has emerged and is showing quite well at this point. It’s a classic Napa Cabernet, with lovely blackcurrant, gravel, and black coffee notes, good structure, and a clean …

Almost three years since my last bottle. This is still a good cab, but I was expecting more improvement by now, 10+ years post-vintage. Medium-to-full bodied, with dark red fruits and a dried herbal note leading to a clean but somewhat short finish. This doesn’t rank up with the better vintages of Chabot Vineyard for me.

PnP. Bright cherries, some eucalyptus and an overall slightly acidic leaning wine. It is sweet strawberry and bing cherry held back slightly by that acidic mouthfeel. With that said I kind of liked it. It's finish had some graphite and that over riding sweetness of Berry and cherry.

Dark and tannic, even after 4 hrs of air. This is still quite young and should be left to sleep for another 3 years before checking in again. Still, I think it'll be an excellent wine when the tannins are more resolved.

Mediocre Napa Cab Sauv. Very weak and timid on the front, but does get stronger with the finish. Left me wanting more out of the wine.

Still tight but drinking well enough. Great nose, tannins are drying and slightly hiding what is probably some pretty good fruit. I'd drink it again if I had more.

Nice, smooth, good balance after being open a day. Sharp and tight just after opening. Should be quite nice in 9 to 15 months.

Did not pay enough attention to my own note and consume this fast enough. This bottle was worse than the last. Perfect storage and no obvious defects yet my wife could not drink this. I would not go that far but it was barely good. Smell, taste and finish of a $10 bottle not the $30 it retails for here, would not purchase this again.

Coconut, cedar, vanilla on the nose. Some of this carried through to the palate however really lacking in fruit, very hollow. Short to medium length finish. I have one more bottle that I will likely consume near term but I will not be buying any more.

Nose is a little tight at this point. Sweet red and black fruits with some creamy vanilla from the oak. Tasty now, but I expect it to become more interesting and complex with another 4-5 years in the cellar. Aged Chabot vineyard cab never disappoints.

Sans notes. Dégusté chez un ami lors d'un BBQ. Filet mignon!! Bon vin mais rien d'excitant, spécialement pour 35$. J'ai bu mieux pour ce prix. 85

Dark color Light aroma of dark fruits Very rich taste, with very soft tannins that make the wine almost soupy Personally like the approachability but probably not everyone's cup of tea

Expressive nose of black plums, black currants, espresso and spicy oak. Medium palate of black currants, tart cherry, pipe tobacco and vanilla bean. Medium finish.

This deep-to-opaque crimson wine was splash-decanted and serially tasted over 3-4 hours. The nose opens after the first hour in decanter to show moderately intense aromas of black currants, minerals and vanilla. Full-bodied on the palate, with medium acidity and big sweet tannins. The alcohol (listed as 14.4%) is quite well-integrated and the mouth texture is silky. The flavors mirror the nose. A solid middle palate leads to a slightly tart, albeit lengthy finish. This is certainly an enjoyable wine …

Beringers California Collection never really disappoints. This is a cheap, easydrinking and quite fruity red, that will offend nobody. don't expect deepness in flavor, but still nice smell of cherries.

ONe notch down from meh. This wine tastes like every $10 wine found at any supermarket or any $6 by-the-glass wine at any chain restaurant. Quite forgetable.

Not much of a wine. Generic without tannins or acid. A bit of red berries and oak. OK wine for an ordinary evening without anybody to impress ;-)

This is not good wine, but it didn't make me gag or want to pour it down the sink. I've certainly had a lot worse for a lot more money. This comes as close to "generic red wine" as anything I've ever tasted. No nose, light-bodied, not much depth, no finish, but clean-tasting with no objectionable qualities. It cost me $3.98, and at that price, I'm willing to overlook a lot of shortcomings. This would be an appropriate wine for …
