Blueberries, cherries and raspberries, super fresh, clean and mineral. Excellent wine. Impressive that it is so fresh and clean even though it is reportedly unsulfured, if every natural winemaker would manage this there would hardly be the division between "natty wines" and "conventional" that there is today.

Obviously reductive at first, needs a proper aeration. Opens up well after an hour or so, drinking nicely. A good flow of decidedly un-sweet black fruit as well as an intrigueing structure with savoury notes and herbal bitterness. Perhaps not a real keeper after all, it's more about the need of air.

Nez poivronné, et boîte à épices, très séduisant. Peu de tanins, profil de vin juteux, facile d'abord. Joli exemple de Blauer wildbacher.

Lovely gentle and nuanced barnyard notes on the nose. Concentrated and full palate. Fruity and with a fitting acidity. Good match to ox cheek. 50+5+12+14+7 (88p)

Elegant and delicate appearance in the glass, beautiful. Sweet red fruit, very clean nose after a few minutes in the glass when most of the funky notes has dissapeared. Apart from a few green notes there is pretty much all about the red fruit, balanced and dangerously drinkable. My first red from this producer and it's pretty much like I expected stylewise, well made.

A light wine with dark fruit. Blueberries and raspberries, with a hint of pleasant bitterness in the medium length finish. Slight tannins and gentle acidity. Opens up a lot from an initial yeastiness after about an hour. Very pleasant and refreshing.

Very reductive and hollow at first. With air it fills up and the reductive notes disappear. Light and elegant with dark fruit and pronounced minerality. Fresh and acidic.

A blend of Blauer Zweigelt and Blauer Wildbacher, raised in used barriques. As always with Strohmeier, the purity, balance and perfection of fruit material is what makes it stand apart from the competition. You don't notice the wood at all, neither any oddities from the wine being unsulphured. Just a little clayey reduction in the beginning (somewhat like Foradori's amphora wines), so needs a few minutes to open up. A great red already drinking beautifully and with the build to …

A 50/50 blend of Blauer Wildbacher and Zweigelt. Very deep black cherry color with very little translucency. Slightly reductive nose with some stuffy, smoky character that fortunately blows off, revealing aromas of ripe dark fruits, some perfumed floral tones, a hint of fresh blackcurrants and a touch of sappy greenness. The wine is crisp, very acid-driven and rather tightly-knit on the palate with racy acidity and very lively, vibrant flavors of tart lingonberries, redcurrants, some sour cherry bitterness, a little …
