An interesting wine, though not particularly strong. A hint of blackberry, red pear, and bacon on the nose. Sweet smokiness when drinking with some earthy mushroom and pu-er overtones.

K&L Tasting "Italian New Releases" 9/15/18 Deep dark cherry and floral aromas on the nose. On the palate, cherry, strawberry, licorice, leather, and vanilla. Smooth tannins and medium acidity. Nice balance and structure. Approachable now, but may benefit from a few years in the cellar. Not my favorite Barolo, but for only $35? I'll take 2. One for now one for later :)
