Nice Barbaresco. Style towards a La Morra Barolo

My first try of this producer, opening a bottle the same day as it was delivered. Maybe that affected it negatively? Was not exactly closed but seemed to lack the nervous energy mentioned below. Red fruited, cherry, orange, a hint of tar and violet, delicate tannins for the appellation. A little simple, felt a bit like a Langhe Nebbiolo. A little too thin. Very drinkable though.

Very open and directly delivering. Rather light in body; capticating and refreshing it leaves an elegant, slender Barbaresco impression. The healthy acidity supports the vivacious feel and flow here. Tart cherry, ribes, tar, freshly cut red flowers and strawberry support the coolish core with a lilting, nervy, sapid and fine - trademark - side of the 2018 vintage.

This bottle was suggested by the Enoteca in Barbaresco, knowing my interest in wines from Neive. Opened to breathe, immediate floral nose, soft delicate juicy fruit, balanced nicely with acid, tannins, and oak. Easy drinking after PNP. Double decanted and waiting 3h. Soft floral nose, bright, sweet cherries and abundant fruit, balanced by tar, spices, tannins (!), and acidity. Still very young, yet approachable especially after decanting. Excellent QPR. Delicious with onion focaccia and culatello. Later paired with pasta pesto. …
