Color, deep clear red; 1st nose, vanilla and red fruits. 2nd nose, roasted oak, china ink and tar. On the palate, silky smooth, big body, with hint of sweetness. Still a lot of life left.

This is my second bottle of this and it was drinking well. Drank with grilled filet mignon. Best after it had been opened an hour or so. Dark fruit, earth and soft tannin. Although this was good Cab I was hoping for more from a bottle at this price point. Drink or hold.

fully integrated fruit and acidity. notes of currants, cherry, vanilla, and hint of anise. believe it may be at or past it's peak as the acidity is all but gone. still a excellent wine but drink your '06 now.

Nicely balanced Cabernet drinking very well now. No harsh tannin as the Napa 2006s seem to have. Great nose.

Good nose of dark fruits, cassis, currant and oak. Full bodied on the tongue with a long, silky finish. Very nice.

A solid 90 pointer with nice balance and integration. Disappointed that it was not more of a wow wine at this price point. The nose showed floral notes, cherry, blackberry and a bit of nuttiness. On the palate soft tannin and dark fruits. Big shot of pepper early on. Should go 3-5 more years with no trouble. I will wait a year or two for my last bottle.

Decanted at the restaurant wish it had a little more time. even though it was still opening it was the perfect compliment to a lovely dinner at Dry Creek Kitchen. I wish I had more in the cellar. Complex cab not over powering.

Bursting with berry, smooth yet bold. 1 hr of decanting. Great for social drinking or excellent with soft foods.

Nice fruit and develops further in the glass. Strong blackberry and currant flavors. Nice wine with substantial longer term life.

TNs: Ferrari-Carano Visit : 100% Cabernet Sauvignon (French clones 337 & 338) from a 40-acre block of the Rock Rise vineyard at an elevation of 1,100 feet. Aged for 20 months in 80% new French oak, and another 14 months in bottle. 14.9% abv. Purple/crimson color. Aromas of espresso, blackberry, violets, cassis and black cherry. Full-bodied with firm tannins, yet has a velvety texture and is well-balanced. Flavors of mocha, black fruit, cherry and red currants. Long finish. Wow- I …

okay after decanting for 30 minutes, got much better after an hour. 3rd bottle of night w/ main course. Seemed to go w/ everything. Not big or complex and a little dissapointed given the price at the winery but I've since bought more at $40 which makes it a solid purchase. Very drinkable and should continue developing for at a couple more years.

Huge oak bomb, with loads of concentrated black berries, currents, on top of tons of carmelized oak. Clearly a big parker scorer, but the last thing any burgundy fan should drink. Completely blasts the palate, and I think the tasting guy just wanted to piss me off with this wine. If you're into big, then you'll like this, but not me.

I first tasted this wine at the winery. It was the last stop of a day in Dry Creek and was immediately voted the “find of the day” by our merry little band. Okay, so I liked it enough to join the Wine Club for continuous access to this little gym. This wine is memorable. On Valentine’s Night, we opened this at a dinner party serving grilled rib-eyed steaks. Although it was fabulous, the 2001 Pride Cab took top honors…… …

A very young wine and hard to rate at this point. Nose - caramel, butterscotch. Mouth - toast and dark fruit. Oak influences showing heavily at this point.
