Pleasant quaffer. Some melon a bit of minerality some crowd pleasing sweetness that isn't too over powering. Nothing special though. Poor match for pizza

Anyone's guess how this bottle ended up in my garage frig but we were having quiche and salad for dinner and figured what the heck! Nice sav blanc. Nose of peaches. Absolutely delightful! Surprised despite its age and screw top!

I was repeatedly chastised by a friend for aging my Kiwi SBs. At least with this wine, he was wrong. It was exceptional. The grassiness remains but the development of the other flavours - citrus, melon and a little nuttiness - has advanced very favourably. Acidity has mellowed a little which, oddly for me, produced an improved flavour and sensory balance. More Sancerre than Marlborough. I have some older vintages and will slowly taste through these too.

Last bottle of the case, last tasted nearly 3 years ago. Surprisingly this bottle seems to have added some complexity since last tasted. The grapefruit has given away to mitre herbacous grassy flavors and there is some interesting mineral notes of stone and slate on the finish, not unlike a fine graves. Nice showing and a nice accompliment to fish or shellfish.

I'm a big fan of Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc (of any vintage, really!). They are always refreshing and crisp, with just the right acidity and fruit (apricot and grapefruit being the most prominent). Great for their cost, too!

Citrus and lemony on the nose i and in the mouth but well balanced. A great example of what a NZ sauvignon Blanc will be. If yo do not like this wine, do not purchase any NZ SB wines. It's as simple as that. This is a lemony, citrusy wine.

Past prime - reductive notes of canned peas and green beans predominated, unfortunately. Acidity was still nice with oysters.

Classic New Zealand Sauv Blanc. great as always. Notes of citrus, lychee, cut grass on the nose, expanding more so on the palate. Acidic and crisp. Great value.

Great minerality, nice fruit balanced with the acid... actually like this more than the Cloudy Bay Better than the 2012 and 2010 years for mind Color: Light straw with yellow and green hues. Aroma: Citrus and tropical fruits backed by characteristic herbaceous notes for which Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is renowned. Palate: An exuberant wine brimming with juicy acidity and fruit sweetness, providing a balanced flavor profile. The finish is fresh, zesty, and lingering. Cellar: All these factors have resulted in …

Similar aromas and flavors as my prior tasting: grapefruit, lime, a touch of light orange liqueur, melon, white flowers and minerals. While still a decent wine, the strength and intensity seems to have very slightly diminished. The wine really perked up though, when pairing it with one of my favorite cheeses, Quadrello di Bufala by "Mitica". I'm putting my remaining two bottles in the "drink up soon" bin.

Brilliant Sauvignon Blanc for hot summer! Crispy, medium to high acidity, with lemon, citrus, lemon, honey and a touch of guava in palate, with orange or lemon seed and skin at finish. Perfect to serve as aperitif!

Complex aromas kind of like light orange liqueur, along with grapefruit, lime, mango, white flowers and minerals. Flavors of very light cut grass, grapefruit, lime, melon and minerals. Very good acid and balance. A long spicy finish. Score 91-92.

(Brunner 1 of 3: Australia Day BBQ w Mich&Bo and Fleur) Light hay in glass, showing typical malborough tropical fruit + florals: green cut grass, melons, gooseberries, passionfruit, guava, green apples, old papaya. Surprisingly concentrated and oily, amidst all that fruit+floral gamut, which seems to have tamed down in the 2 years. Crisp acidity gives way to a lovely restrained minerality of shale and slate. Accessible, and yet interesting complexity given the extra 2 years in bottle (+1).
