Drink now. Atypical and intriguing nose leads to an OK drink. Mint and anise aromatics so there’s that.

Simple profile. Light straw in colour. Grass , minerality and passionfruit/citrus coming through. The minerality is v pleasant, reminiscent of chablis. There's not much of the semillon coming through which is disappointing for me. Slight pleasant bitterness coming through as well. It's a good "sauvignon blanc" but not a good "bordeaux blenc" if i can put it this way. The semillon comes through slightly as it warns in glass. It seems that the philosophy here was to use the semillon …

A lot of money for an ordinary wine experience. Bought it because I have had many excellent bottles of their Sauternes - my advice - stick to their Sauternes.

Very interesting wine. Notes of Apple cider and some citrus darker yellow in appearance. Not objectionable, but I believe far past it’s drinking window. A most unusual Sauvignon blanc.

Color is medium lemon. This wine needs to be a little warmer to release the aroma. Medium to deep grass, a hint of green pepper but also some passion fruit and honey. Medium to high acidic. Dry with medium alcohol and body. Medium intensity in taste with similar but added some wet stone. Definitely a little bit of barrels.

The bouquet is still reticent and a bit reductive. The wine shows some minerals, white and yellow fruits, some oak and pleasant bitterness. Good complexity and will improve with some more ageing.

At the Sky Pavillion. Continue to find this a lovely and balanced expression of white bordeaux, ripe and generous while balanced and fresh.

An exploration of Bordeaux - 2016 vintage (Le Pont, Milsons Point) : Lees work, cream, gooseberry, apple, a little sweet spice. Juicy tends to medium plus intensity acidity, tangy textured burr has woody undertones, slightly bitter apple skin, apple, gooseberry, slight non-intrusive alcohol warmth. Pleasant but (at 125AUD) very expensive for what it is...

Airy and fruity, much more Sauvignon character than Semillon, but not green in a vegetal way... Aromas of pomelo, green apple, peach, guava, papaya, salty sweaty stuff, a little citrus blossom and the merest hint of vanilla and oak spice.... almost full on the palate, but very lively and fresh, there's gorgeous fruit, pristine fruit, this kind of serious but fruity style is rather unexpected for "big-name" white Bordeaux, and I was bracing for more oak. Finish is fruity and …

Thought this was way better than the last showing - maybe better glassware. Nose is lovely, coconut, appe, smells savoury but also has a rounded honey note. Beautiful texture on the palate, rounded without being ripe, juicy acidity but finished with a lovely creaminess. Apple, pear, maybe melon. Complex and super interesting. Excellent.

Another nice showing on this one. Versatile, lots of food pairing options. This time we had a savory stuffed pork chop dish and that worked. The other white meat! Pale coloring, lighter citrus and herb aromas. Lightweight mouthful. Good now.

This was a fun bottle I carted along on vacation. Light on its feet, a bit grassy. Pale golden color, light lemon-lime citrus core. Good salad wine. Drinking well now, I would say enjoy in next 1-2 yrs.

my last bottle and this was the best... tropical fruits, citrus, creamy/leesy texture... balanced... i don't find this as oaky as others do, more leesy, creamy semilon-y than toasty, baking spice oaky for me...

Served against a quiche and spring mix salad. Wine is darker, more earthy than I recall. Pale brass hue. And it turned salty with air time, which was interesting. Nice citrus core, but that darker/earthy quality did better with the pie crust. Good weight on the palate, a food wine. Enjoy now or could hold a couple years.

After an hour and a half decant this wine was STILL dominated by oak . This is a Bordeaux blanc sec...not a Grand cru.... . It should not have been finished in New oak, but either stainless steel, or older oak barrels. The nose was very muted, and showed only oak and faint smoke.... . on the palate I found vague hints of pineapple and citrus, there was no clarity, no minerality, due to the overbearing oak.... . aging will not …

Grassy tropical nose. Pink grapefruit, pineapple marmalade, grass and straw on the palate. Touch of botrytis, which seems a bit out of place, but in a good way that adds some character to this wine. I agree that it would probably benefit from further aging.

Lonny Might Be Turning Sixty (Tilia, Mpls) : Pale gold color. Drank a 1.75 oz pour over 30 minutes. This was fun as we don't get these too often. Lemon and citrus, lime infused, balanced and light, lovely mineral expression. Excellent with the fish torta.

Ripe and sultry, though perhaps not all of what it will be a few more years down the road. As a member of the Sauternes producer’s alphabet club for dry whites, the ‘R’ follows a tough act (D’Yquem ‘Y’, of course) but does so with dignity. This bottle admittedly seemed a bit off upon first opening, but with a decant those initially unpleasant notes blew off and left behind a very pleasant wine. The nose was almost immediately into tropical …

Drank this at Kaiware Tei last night to celebrate Father's Day. Wine i straw yellow in colour and had an aromatic and floral nose of lime, green apples and elder flowers. Good weight, structure and character and paired well with the range of food items which we had. On the body the wine is clean and lean. Long finish of fresh lime and green fruits.

Roughly half sauvignon to half semillon in this vintage. The nose conveys powerful aromas of musky pear skin, apple and flowers with sauvignon-derived top notes of grapefruit oil and gooseberry. The wine is amply broad in the mouth with a gentle sweetness to its plush fruits. A firm (almost foursquare) acidic backbone holds everything together, lending a sense of focus. Feels age-worthy too. Very nice.

Pretty consistent with last note. Like it. Mild - or would subtle be a better word. Sauv blanc comes through more this time, tart apricot. At $22 not the greatest QPR ever but has an elegance that doesn't necessarily need to be dirt cheap.

Light color, straw yellow rim. Aromatically a bit muted... as much semillon as SB on the nose, no new oak i could detect, no strong malo smells... on the palate a nice combination of both with the ripping acidity of SB and the palate weight of semillon... dry. Well balanced wine with shortish length, ok intensity, ok complexity. Great finesse and expression of place. Drink now... loved this wine for its positives which it delivers at a great price as …

A good showing, starting to be a "go-to" for me when looking for a white with freshness and menu flexibility. Lively, tastes like Sauv Blanc led and that's appreciated. Clean, bright citrus. Can play with salads and seafood. Pale coloring, bright nose, pretty in the glass. A white Bordeaux for Chablis lovers.

DTC 2016-01; Bordeaux 2006. (@ SS) : The bouquet is not extremely expressive and shows yellow fruits like bananas. On the palate yellow fruits, butter candy, vanilla, a touch of sweetness and good fresh citrus acidity. Some pleasant bitterness in the finish. High viscosity; glycerin. Beautiful wine and much better than expected after reading back my note from 2009. 87 - 88

I was not a lover of white varietals until I tried this wine from a fluke purchase. Very soft aroma; floral with crisp apple; not overly sweet and a rather pleasing dryness at the finish. Thought my mind was playing tricks on me. Conundrum was the only white I could say was enjoyable before trying this wine. My Cab friends may disown me after reading this.

Light gold core. Clearly some age on the wine. Nose citrusy and somewhat tropical. Not entirely fresh. Aged or oxidized? Palate similar with woody/waxy notes and broad flavours. Moderate acidity. Medium length. Moderate alcohol. Expected more from Rieussec but the price is not outrageous. Drink now.

Very woodsy on the nose, with evident oak influence that's not all that well integrated as of now. Some nice vanilla, grapefruit, pineapple and honeyed notes lurking beneath that at the moment. The parts are there for this to improve a bit over time as it integrates, but I don't think it'll ever be outstanding. Not great value at $17.99, which is surprising given the pedigree of the producer. 86-88.
