Domaine Binner Pinot Noir Hinterberg

Popped and poured. Glass enclosure. Rich aroma of berries and grass. Tart, but somewhat sappy, flavors of cassis, plums. Mouth puckering finish includes red currants, green apple. I suspect this is mellower than it was a few years ago, but it still has the austerity characteristic of Alsatian pinot noir. Drinking beautifully, no sign of decline.

Not bad. Brambly fruits, cranberry, rose water, and fresh green herbs. Light with an angular mouthfeel. Interesting wine made from almost every pinot grape out there.
