Hold!

Magnum, two hours opened ahead. Pretty nose of dark plums and cherries. Quite fresh with dominant Petit Verdot in the mouth. Paired excellent to our spicy pasta. 76% CS / 16,5% PV / 7,5% M

For about $20 at a small and quaint wine shop in 2016 this was an enjoyable wine. Definitely get some earthy/forest floor notes, some graphite, pencil, and some meaty aspects on top of a dash of classic cab tobacco. Palate is much more fruit driven. Tannins present and integrated. Decent length on the finish. Don’t see a reason to hold this much longer if at all.

Out of magnum several times over a wedding weekend. Concur w hangrybob's notes, though i found that this most enjoyable with 45mins - 2hrs slow ox, and began softening up more than I liked after 2 hrs. Drink by 2025

Aerated and decanted for 30+ mins (probably not enough). Deep garnet. Tons of sediment on the bottle neck. Lovely ripe dark fruit, dark berries, plum, tobacco, vanilla on the nose. Rich on the palate, medium to light in body but with a consistent follow through, no washing out halfway with wateriness. Soft with powdery but grippy tannins and a lingering finish. Drinking great right now.

Decanted for almost 2 hours. Our of magnum. Aromas of blackberry, black currant, iron, lead pencil and a hint of tobacco. Flavirs of blackberry, currant, black cherry, iron and touch of earth. Ends with an iron and blackberry finish that last 15-20 seconds. Tasting very young still.

Attractive black currant fruit and graphite, very cabernet-like flavors. Nice structure with fine tannins and should last another 5 years at least. Well made Haut-Medoc.

Could still hold a lot of years, consumed over three days "vac-u-vined". Best on last day, so still developing.

Popped and poured. A little unintegrated oak flavor at first, then with more air, lush sweet fruit and smooth tannins predominated. Very nice.

Over two evenings in the decanter. More linear structured and lesser fruit on second. Nice on both, would not say that this is going soon over the top, maybe in an intermediate state. Will try again later next year.

Sweet cassis and cedar smell, rather oaky. Medium bodied, high acid and quite savoury in the mouth, with concentrated fruit to follow, not particularly long but fresh and clean. Very good.

Over 3 years since my first review of this wine. This continues to be a seriously structured wine, it has melded a bit, needs a lot of air time. It just became available again in my area for $22, nice.

I don't know where I bought this, but it was a bargain. Two years since last bottle, decanted 2 hours, this really sang with roast lamb. Equally good with camembert Plums, smooth tannins, obviously in a good spot

This wine was decanted a couple of hours before tasting The fruit has developed well and it is now ready and wont be much better (in my view). The tannins had softened and were easy on the palate and the merlot (7.5%) softened the finish. We ate a plate of old fashioned minced beef and potatoes with this and the sweetness of the carrots onions and celery went well with the dark fruits of the cabernet.

Decanted about seven hours before drinking. Color: dark ruby-purple. Nose: Taste: red and black fruit, soft, as good as fully resolved tannins and OK acidity. The alcohol was, although with 13%, a little bit burning. The mid-palate was a bit thin. At the second day the nose was more fragrant with fine herbs, in the taste more fruit. A rather soft and quite tasty wine, clearly from a good year, but it lacked distinct character. Can well be drunk now; …

Consumed over two days (vacuvin). Opened the bottle three hours earlier. Dark and red fruit in the nose - currant, cassis, herbs. In the mouth first still a bit tight, mineralic, slim, fresh, red fruit and on the smooth (CS) side. On the second day even a bit harsher/sharper in the body (maybe CF). Medium to full body. Really nice concentrated and long finish.

Decanted for an hour. Better with a bit more air. Nose was banana with fruit and flowers; palate was earthy; finish was earthy with fruits and raspberry. Day 2, the nose was more subdued, the palate and finish were smoother but less fruit. Nice and reasonably priced.

36 % Cabernet Sauvignon, 43 % Merlot, 20 % Petit Verdot. 12.5% alcohol. Double decanted for 3 hours. Drank over 3 hours. Lively & interesting nose, smooth mouthfeel and good finish. Flavours are savoury and hard-to-pin-down. It reminded me of a softer version of Graves, but maybe that was the secondary characteristics coming though.
