Loved this chard. Really neutral flavour. Not buttery or oaky

The nose was rich with aromas of sweet cream, young peach, and honey drizzled apple, yet spry as notes of wet slate, fresh kiwi and yellow florals came forward. On the palate, I found silky textures with gorgeous creamy weight as ripe apple and young mango mixed with a hint of tangerine and inner floral tones. Good round fruity chard and not too over the top. A tad rich for my taste but a crowd pleaser.

Pale yellow with distinctive floral nose. Opens with pear and stone. A bit shy and austere initially but opens nicely with a bit of time. Minerality and citrus with some tropical nuances. Distinctive and elegant.

Loved the Chardonnay. floral with ripe pear, hints of lemon, and honey. Overlain with Caramel and some interesting would notes.

Honeysuckle, lavender, herbs, hints of caramel covered pineapple, and light oak.

Visit to Big Basin Vineyards (Big Basin Estate, Boulder Creek, CA) : This pours very light in colour and that is mimicked on the nose of mineral, fresh cut lemon, pear, cold cream, white flowers, lees, herbs and a light restrained caramel covered hazelnut overlay. The palate has massive acid and a medium plus finish built on cold cream and light hints of caramel. I really loved this excellent, restrained wine and found it quite Meursault like.
