Eastside Tasting Group does White Burgundy (Mount Baker, Seattle, WA) : Wow, a BIG wine, really concentrated, flinty. Is this a Meursault? It has that butter-brickle snap to it. Getting a little smoky, I really like where this goes with more air, crackling minerality, just utter class.

Showing absolutely fresh without a hint of oxidation. I pulled the cork to test a sample and decanted an hour before service. This wine had olfactory interest, lots of honey, baked apple, river rock. Zippy acidity and an expansive mouthfeel. I would have wanted more weight in fruit, that is the midpalate seemed slightly hollow but otherwise a very fine bottle. Paired with goat cheese and apricot on brioche. The goat cheese overwhelmed it a little.

Shockingly good and fresh for a 15-year white Burgundy. Layered, somewhat vibrant and elegant, this kept opening over the (very short) time we left it in the bottle.

Varied bottles of interest : Served blind. Floral nose with pear, lemon, oyster shells and mint supporting. Very good tingly acidity on the refined palate. The fruit that is there is delicate and has excellent persistence. A lovely wine with time on it's side.

A solid showing. Good balance of minerality and acidity, fruit was maybe lacking a little. I had hoped for more from a vintage that I enjoy very much.

I was completely seduced by the energy and elegance, way above my expectations for a Morgeot. A most satisfying wine in every respect and in top form. Just lacks the ultimate complexity of the very best GCs.

Not quite open for business yet, but its almost there. Fruit is restrained, but the minerality shows well. No sign of premox, so one to keep for a few years yet.

Pitch perfect aged Chassagne. Still with hints of white florals and the first signs of honeyed development.

Power and finesse, excellent Chassagne typicity, perfectly jugded oak, spices, not a great deal of fruit right now.

Toasty nose, loooong finish with good acid structure. Some sulphur and mint on nose. Wow wine.

GWC does "the Best of Washington" (Watt's Home) : Our started wine with appys. Pale straw with a little citrus scent. Such a refined and tasty way to start the night. Just slips down so easily leaving you wanting another glass--sadly all was poured.

Wrapped up - citrus, mineral, and hard dominant acidity. Vibrant, transparently made wine. Need lots of time.
