On the pop, whacks you with oak. It’s all that is left. Totally hollow and one glass out before recorking was too much for this that any remaining elements tired out readily. Drink if you got em, but overly oaked

Garnet, opened up quite swiftly. The wine feels a little tired at the last sip. Drink sooner rather than later

Ruby just starting to turn crimson, subtle but confident nose of red and black currant, vanilla and grilled meats with undertones of forest floor and mocha, strong ham hock on the palate with firm but well rounded tannins and ripe dark fruit, finish continues with meaty flavors, dusty red and dark fruit, mineral notes and much more - plenty of life ahead but tasting real nice tonight

Really lovely style, though still tight and could use time. Enjoyed over the course of one night and those beautiful notes I so enjoy about a nicely done Cote-Rotie (think: sage and violets) just started to sing in the last half of the last glass. Made me wish there was more. But alas... Drink and decant or hold.

New to this region at this price point. Love it and brought a few other Cote Rotie wines. Love the pepper taste to it. Nice and smooth and great for the summer. I drank straight from opening and then put in the fridge for 20 mins. I must say I preferred it before it went in the fridge. Looking forward to drinking the others and stocking up on this type. I need a bigger wine fridge!

Another Kermit Lynch collaboration blend. A young, powerful Côte-Rôtie To The Eye: Impenetrable dark purple, unfiltered On The Nose: Intense aromas of bacon fat, olives, earth, dark black fruit. A hint of oak. In The Mouth: Intense & primal syrah: Black fruit, smoked meat. Drying tannins on finish, but not unpleasant. Almost a shame to drink this now, knowing what it will be in 5, 10, 15 years. You certainly CAN drink this now (I did) but if you can …

The start of the Cote Rotie flight -- it seems like there is something about Cote Rotie, more depth, more darkness, less rustic. Noticeable to me. Here, primary, but on the dark spectrum, seems more clear cut, or clean cut than Cornas. Supple on the palate entry but then strong and hard tannins on the back end. Very definitive tannins. Just a baby on the palate. I would guess needs a massive amount of time. Chewy like a Barolo.
