Only because we had the 2014 Upper terrace at the same time. This was a steal of a wine when release, reminds me of the first Beaux Frere, Beaux Freres! If you have this drink ti now and for 4 more years. true Pinot Noir, you stole it!

Ripe and rich black and red cherry throughout with baking spice and overall good depth. A touch of sweetness is slightly distracting. I prefer the brighter 2013.

Friends brought this to Easter Dinner (smoked ham) on 4/1/18. It had an earthy, elegant, expressive bouquet of forest floor, cherry, raspberry and baking spice aromas. The palate was elegant, tart and dry with flavors that followed the nose.
