Kühl, mineralisch mit einer fast schon spicy Würze, Crème Catalane sowie Bitterorangen schwingen mit; am Gaumen mit guter Säurestruktur und nicht überbordenden Süsse; der Abgang ist eindrücklich lang, wiederum würzig und mit Dörraprikosen im Rückaroma. Très joli nez sur l'écorce d'orange et l'abricot. Bouche qui manque de puissance et longeur

Maybe below the everage level of the class. Lacks both acidity and sweetness. Pity. 闻起来除了贵腐酒常见的味道以外还有一股子芥末味儿，区别于生姜，大概也是贵腐的味道。酸度和甜度都不太行了，买的时候先查了分数，本来也没报期待，就这样吧。

Good quality Sauternes with light gold color, the nose is reasonably intense, showing good complexity of sultana, orange peel, apricot, honey, cedar and honeysuckle. Medium sweet, it has a nice acidity supporting a good refreshing palate of reasonable concentration of apricot, toast, honey and caramel, orange marmalade and honeysuckle. It is an easy-drinking dessert wine which can be drunk without accompanying food. With a reasonable finish, it is ready to drink now though can benefit from further ageing of another …

There isn’t enough sweetness here to balance the quite prominent acidity this wine has. Even if the mouthfeel at first gives a somewhat nice impression of a Sauternes, the aftertaste is weirdly almost dry and not at all pleasant. Not worthy of anybody’s attention.

The nose is interesting with honey, dried apricots, wax and some sweet spices. Quiet complex but not very deep. In the mouth the wine is quiet full body with very little residual sugar and proeminent alcohol and lacking freshness. So unbalanced and short. I was expecting something uninteresting but not at that point.

Mid Sep 2008: exotic fruits, honey; gorgeous interplay of acid and sweetness on the palate. Served to Confit de Canard avec Brioche.
