Purple core with red around the rim. The nose shows red and black fruit along with oaky notes of tobacco and spice. The palate is quite tight right now, but with a little air displays some bing cherry, black currant and tobacco leaf. High acidity and extremely tannic at this point. Good long finish, but overwhlemed by the tannic structure. Good concentration and intensity. Needs age, food or air. Bargain Bordeaux generally leads to disaster for me, but this is …
