Pat Paulsen Cabernet Sauvignon

Over-the-Hill Tasting & Dinner, Part II (D&L's) : Popped and poured. Opens with notes of clay, herbs, red fruit, Indian spices and forest floor. Red fruit on the palate with good underlying acidity and licorice in the finish. With air this develops a cherry compote aroma, along with a little bit of bretty funk that shows up on the palate as well. Pretty good, and perhaps the biggest surprise of the evening. (D&L)
